Murrieta Opens Alderwood Park Pickleball Courts To Fanfare, Fun
Play ball! Pickleball, that is. Thursday's ribbon-cutting was full of fun, as the City Council officially opened this three-court expansion

MURRIETA, CA — Three new pickleball courts have opened at Murrieta's Alderwood Park, expanding recreational opportunities for residents and meeting the growing demand for one of the nation’s fastest-growing sports.
A ribbon cutting for the three new courts took place on Thursday morning as members of the community attended and celebrated the occasion.
"The courts are a welcome addition to the two existing courts at Alderwood Park, reflecting the City’s ongoing commitment to enhancing parks and recreation amenities that promote health, wellness, and social connection, according to Mayor Jon Levell.

“Alderwood Park continues to evolve as a vibrant gathering place for our community,” Levell said. “These new courts not only support active lifestyles but also bring people together in a fun and engaging way. I want to thank our Municipal and Community Services Departments for getting this project done efficiently so we can meet our community’s needs.”

The courts are now open to the public during regular park hours and courts can be reserved online. For more information about Murrieta Parks and Recreation programs, visit www.MurrietaCA.gov/classes.
