Sen. Seyarto Named '2026 State Elected Official Of The Year' By Riverside Sheriffs' Association
Seyarto represents California's 32nd Senate District, which includes cities in Southwest Riverside County.
MURRIETA, CA — State Sen. Kelly Seyarto, R-Murrieta, has been named the 2026 State Elected Official of the Year by the Riverside Sheriffs' Association for his ongoing support of law enforcement and public safety legislation, it was announced Tuesday.
Seyarto, a retired firefighter who serves as vice chair of the Senate Public Safety Committee, was selected for his advocacy on behalf of first responders and public safety initiatives throughout his legislative career.
"I am truly honored to receive this recognition from the Riverside Sheriffs' Association," Seyarto said. "The men and women who serve in law enforcement put themselves in harm's way every day to keep our communities safe, often making tremendous sacrifices on behalf of others. They deserve leaders who will stand with them, support them, and ensure they have the resources they need to do their jobs safely and effectively."
The Riverside Sheriffs' Association, a nonprofit labor organization, represents deputies, investigators, correctional officers, and other public safety personnel within the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Seyarto emphasized that public safety remains a bipartisan priority.
"Public safety is not a partisan issue," Seyarto added. "Every Californian deserves to feel safe in their home and community, and I will continue working with our law enforcement partners to support policies that protect both the public and those who serve."
Seyarto represents California's 32nd Senate District, which includes the cities and communities of Aguanga, Anza, Borrego Springs, Canyon Lake, Chino Hills, Corona, El Sobrante, French Valley, Homeland, Julian, La Cresta, Lake Elsinore, Lake Mathews, Lakeland Village, Menifee, Murrieta, Norco, Sage, Temecula, Temescal Valley, Wildomar, Winchester, Woodcrest, Yorba Linda, and parts of Riverside.
