Napa Massage Therapist Faces Rape, Assault Charges

NAPA VALLEY, CA — Two women walked into the same Napa massage business on consecutive days and later identified the same masseuse as the man suspected of sexually assaulting them, police said.

The massage therapist is suspected of sexually assaulting them on consecutive days at the Napa business, police said.

Napa police arrested 50-year-old Napa resident Liangfu Zheng on suspicion of rape, sexual battery involving an unconscious person, and assault with intent to commit rape.

Officers received the first report at about 9:26 p.m. Saturday. The woman told police she visited Herbal Health Massage, at 2221 Jefferson St., for a massage earlier that day.

During the massage, the man is suspected of assaulting her, according to the Napa Police Department. The woman immediately pushed the suspect away and ran from the room, police said.
Distressed, she left the business, and later called police.

At about 3:15 p.m. Sunday, Napa police responded to the same business after another woman reported that a male masseuse had inappropriately touched her.

The woman told police she received a massage from the man when he allegedly sexually assaulted her. The masseuse ended the massage and told her to leave, police said.

Patrol officers and investigators found Zheng at Herbal Health Massage. He provided a Napa address, and both women identified him as the suspect, according to police.

Officers booked Zheng into the Napa County Department of Corrections. Police said the investigation remains ongoing and released no additional information.
