NEWPORT BEACH, CA — The powerful swell that's attracted surfers and spectators alike to the Southern California coast over the past few weeks remained in rare form over the past weekend.
SoCal photographer Steve Deck was shooting at the Wedge in Newport Beach when he captured this awe-inspiring shot of a surfer exiting a wave in a dramatic fashion.
"Surfer sending it straight into orbit. An epic exit after surviving a monster ride at The Wedge in Newport Beach," Deck said of the photo.
