Attempted Murder Suspect At Large After Stabbing Both Parents In SFV: LAPD

The at-large man is considered armed and dangerous, according to police.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities are searching for a man wanted for attempted murder in the stabbing of both of his parents in the San Fernando Valley this week.

Officers responded to the 20500 block of Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills at 11 a.m. Monday in response to a call regarding a stabbing, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

At the scene, police found two people suffering from multiple stab wounds, authorities said.

Investigators identified the suspect as Adam Courtney Brown, 32. The victims were his parents, police said.

Brown is suspected of stabbing them multiple times "causing significant, life-threatening injuries," police said.

Paramedics transported one victim to a local hospital in stable condition. The other victim was transported in stable condition to a local hospital by a witness, police said.

The suspect fled the scene on foot. Police say he is known to use public transportation in Los Angeles County and may have ties to Palmdale, Hollywood and Woodland Hills.

Authorities on Wednesday asked for the public's help finding the man, who they consider armed and dangerous. Anyone who may come across Brown should not approach him, police said.
