Probe Continues Into Solo 118 Crash That Killed One, Injured Three in Pacoima
One person was pronounced dead at the scene and one was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
PACOIMA, CA — The investigation is continuing Sunday into a fatal crash in Pacoima that left one person dead and three others injured, authorities said.
The solo vehicle crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 8:18 p.m. Saturday on the westbound Ronald (118) Reagan Freeway at the San Fernando Road off-ramp.
The vehicle went down the right shoulder embankment and crashed into a tree, a witness told the department.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene, one was taken to a hospital in serious condition and two patients were hospitalized in fair condition, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton said.
The genders and ages of the deceased and injured were not available, she said.

The deceased person did not appear to be the driver of the sedan. A CHP officer reported that the driver was conscious when evaluated by paramedics.
