Grocery Store Sex Assaults Among 6 Attacks By Same Sex Offender In 1 Day: Police

The man may have victimized others who have yet to come forward, police said.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A registered sex offender has been arrested again, this time in connection to a series of six sexual assaults in the San Fernando Valley on a single day.

The incidents include the man pulling down a woman's pants inside a business, groping another woman while she was shopping in a grocery store and recording a third woman while she was inside a retail store's restroom, according to police.

The Los Angeles Police Department released photos of the 29-year-old suspect, Damian Denzell Robinson, along with a description of the incidents on Wednesday as part of an effort to locate him. Robinson turned himself in at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lancaster Station that night, according to the LAPD and jail records.

Robinson was previously convicted of indecent exposure and lewd conduct, which required him to register as a sex offender. He is now accused of additional incidents that all occurred on Sunday, according to police:

At around 9:10 a.m., Robinson is accused of approaching an elderly woman while inside a business near Devonshire Street and Balboa Boulevard in North Hills, pulling down her pants, grabbing her and sexually assaulting her, police said.

Around 45 minutes later, Robinson is accused of approaching another elderly woman at Forbes Avenue and Calahan Street in Northridge and attempting to pull her pants down. "The victim held on to her waistband and confronted the suspect," police said.

Fifteen minutes later, another victim was walking near Lassen Street and Encino Avenue in Northridge when the suspect approached her from behind. He grabbed and sexually assaulted her while recording the incident on his phone, police said.

At around 11:15 a.m., another victim was inside a grocery store at Vanowen Street and Corbin Avenue in Winnetka when the suspect approached her from behind, grabbed her and sexually assaulted her, police said.

KTLA aired video of the aftermath of that incident, which shows Robinson walking out of the store as the victim screams out for security to help her.

At around 12:37 p.m., a victim was inside a grocery store near Mason Avenue and Sherman Way in Winnetka when the suspect approached her and pulled down her pants and underwear. The suspect recorded the incident on his phone, police said.

At around 3:20 p.m., a victim was in the restroom of a retail store near Corbin Avenue and Nordhoff Street in Northridge when the suspect recored her with his phone from under the stall, police said.

Some or all of the incidents were captured on security cameras, which investigators used to identify the suspect, police said.

Police say Robinson may have victimized others who have yet to come forward.
