Keeley Wright Shines As San Marin Captures Tourney Title
The junior guard was named the West Coast Jamboree Onyx bracket MVP.
NOVATO, CA — San Marin standout Keeley Wright helped lead San Marin to a prestigious tournament title.
The junior guard was named the West Coast Jamboree Onyx bracket MVP after leading the girls basketball team to a 38-31 victory over San Domenico in Thursday’s title game, San Marin’s eighth straight win.
Senior center Jenna Nottingham and junior forward Keira Engler were named all-tournament selections.

Wright averaged 15 points, six rebounds and just under six steals in three games. She scored eight points and had five rebounds and eight steals in the title game.
Nottingham scored seven points and Engler pulled down a season-high nine rebounds in the title game.

Junior guard/forward Lailah Carey matched her season-high with 18 points and had 10 steals to lead San Marin the tournament opener, a 56-44 victory over Atwater (Merced County) on Dec. 28 in which Wright scored 17 points and had eight rebounds.
Wright scored a season-high 20 points and had five rebounds and six steals in a decisive 43-26 victory over California of San Ramon the next day that sent the Mustangs to the finals.
