Coastal Rail Service Suspended This Weekend For Maintenance
Officials urged residents near the tracks to remain alert and reminded the public to cross the tracks only at designated railroad crossings.
OCEANSIDE, CA — Coastal rail service between San Diego and Oceanside will be suspended this weekend as crews perform maintenance and work on infrastructure projects, officials said.
Coaster service will not operate Saturday or Sunday. Regularly scheduled service is expected to resume Monday, according to North County Transit District.
Weekend closures are scheduled throughout the year to give crews time to safely perform maintenance and work on major railroad construction projects.

Although passenger and freight trains will not operate during the closure, test trains, construction vehicles and equipment may be active along the rail corridor.
