Baby, It's Hot Outside: SoCal Water Park Brings Christmas To July

The family-friendly event is hosted by Wild Rivers and features summer photos with Santa, a "Find the Elf" challenge and more.

ORANGE COUNTY, CA — While the signs of summer are more present than ever, one Southern California water park is getting into the holiday spirit.

Wild Rivers Water Park will host a "Christmas in July" event on July 25, park officials said.

The event will feature festive activities such as photos with Santa, a Christmas costume contest, a "Find the Elf" challenge, and a holiday-themed scavenger hunt.

In addition, holiday music will be playing around the park and guests will enjoy a "Christmas Foam Party."

"We’re so excited to have Christmas in July back at Wild Rivers this summer," Director of sales and Marketing Susan Kruizinga said. "We’re always looking for new ways to create memorable experiences, and this event brings a little holiday magic to the middle of summer. With festive music, fun giveaways, and plenty of chances to win prizes, there’s something for everyone to get into the holiday spirit!"

The Irvine water park also features more than 20 acres of attractions, including thrill slides, a lazy river, and a wave pool.

The event comes as Southern California remains under an extreme heat warning, with warmer temperatures sticking around into next week.
