Trump Invests In This SoCal-Based Restaurant Chain
The company's shares spiked over 6 percent on Monday following the news of Trump's investment, Restaurant Business reported.

IRVINE, CA — President Donald Trump recently bought a stake in the California-based sushi conveyor belt chain Kura Sushi USA, according to reports this week.
The president’s most recent financial disclosures revealed he bought $1 million to $5 million in the company’s stock on Feb. 2, Restaurant Business reported.
A Trump Organization spokesperson has said Trump’s assets are independently managed by third-party institutions, and he is not involved in trading decisions, according to Bloomberg.

Kura Sushi USA is America’s largest revolving sushi restaurant brand. Headquartered in Irvine, it was established in 2008 as a subsidiary of Japan-based Kura Sushi. Of its 91 U.S. locations, there are 27 in California — more than any other state, according to the company’s website.
The chain saw an 8.6 percent increase in comparable restaurant sales for the second quarter of 2026 compared to the second quarter of 2025, according to quarterly financial results announced by Kura Sushi USA on April 7.
