Bus Driver Who Sexually Assaulted Disabled Passenger Sentenced In SMC: DA

The man was sentenced to state prison after being convicted of sexually assaulting a passenger with disabilities, prosecutors said.

DALY CITY, CA — A Daly City bus driver who sexually assaulted a passenger with disabilities while transporting riders has been sentenced to one year and eight months in state prison, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office.

Paul Michael Cunanan Tiletile, 47, was sentenced after a jury convicted him of committing a lewd act on a dependent adult and weapons offenses, prosecutors said.

The case stemmed from an investigation into reports that Tiletile sexually assaulted female passengers with disabilities on his bus between May 2022 and April 2023, according to prosecutors.

A jury found him guilty of sexually assaulting one dependent adult but acquitted him of a second lewd act charge involving another woman, according to the district attorney's office.

When Daly City police arrested Tiletile in 2023, prosecutors said he was carrying a firearm. A search of his home uncovered 11 additional firearms, including two unserialized "ghost guns."
