
Open Studios (SVOS) with 30+ Artists at Sanchez Art Center, May 2 – 3, 2026
Over 30 artists have signed up to participate in Silicon Valley Open Studios (SVOS) at Sanchez Art Center on Saturday and Sunday, May 2 – 3, with extended hours of 11am – 5 pm.
The artists invite you to come see their work and visit their studios or tables around the Center in Pacifica, along the beautiful San Mateo County Coast.Come check it out!
Open studios are a wonderful way to learn about different artist practices and mediums.Explore the spaces, engage with the artists, and since you’ll surely be enticed, be prepared to make some purchases from local professional artists in a variety of mediums, including painting, printmaking, photography, ceramic, encaustic, sculpture, crochet, textiles, mixed media, jewelry and more! Feel free to ask questions and get to know the artists. Learn about the inspirations and techniques they rely on, the tools and materials they use, how they began making art and what keeps them going.
The galleries will also be open to the public, featuring the exceptional works selected by Juror Scott Shields, chief curator and associate director, Crocker Art Museum, Sacramento, for the 2026 Left Coast Annual.The 2025 LCA Exhibition Awards show with art by Michele Foyer and Madelyn Covey, selected by Carin Adams, Curator of Art, Oakland Museum of California, is also showing.
We’re excited to participate in the 40th year of Silicon Valley Open Studios.Catalogs of artists participating throughout San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties are also available (SVOS continues for two additional weekends at different locations!)It’s a wonderful take-away to browse and get to know artists throughout our creative region, including other venues in Pacifica with participating SVOS artists along Palmetto Ave, including Art Space on the Coast (Site #10) and 7.3.1.
