PALM SPRINGS, CA — A 35-year-old man suspected of throwing bottles that left nine people injured during an electronic music festival in Palm Springs was arrested Friday, police said. The alleged assault was reported just before 1:40 a.m. Sunday during the annual Splash House music festival at the Palm Springs Air Museum. Police said a dispute between multiple people escalated, with bottles being thrown into the crowd. Nine people sustained minor injuries from broken glass. Two people were treated at the scene by paramedics, while several others were taken to a local hospital. During the investigation, Milan Youssef was identified as a suspect. Palm Springs police worked with the San Diego Police Department to locate the suspect. Palm Springs police said investigators contacted Youssef, who agreed to surrender himself. He turned himself in on Friday and was taken into custody. Youssef was booked at Benoit Detention Center in Indio on suspicion of several counts of assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Palm Springs Police Department. Bail information was not immediately available. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
