2 Bodies Found In South Bay Channel In 2 Days: Report

CARSON, CA — A second body was recovered along the Dominguez Channel in Carson Wednesday morning, one day after another body was discovered farther north along the same channel, according to a report.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department homicide detectives responded to the 2000 block of East Sepulveda Boulevard at 8:31 a.m. Wednesday for a death investigation, according to the department.

An adult man was pronounced dead at the scene, LASD said. The department did not immediately release his identity or information about the circumstances surrounding his death.

Wednesday's discovery was the second along the Dominguez Channel in Carson in two days.

According to KTLA, authorities were called just after noon Tuesday after another body was discovered in the channel farther north near Victoria Golf Course. Sky5 was over that scene at about 1:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities had not released identifying information about that person, including their gender or estimated age, and the cause of death remained under investigation. Authorities have not said whether the two cases are connected.

LASD released no additional information about Wednesday's death. Anyone with information was asked to contact the Sheriff's Department's Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5500.
