PLEASANTON, CA — Boyz II Men, the Grammy Award-winning vocal harmony group best known for their record-breaking R&B singles in the early 90s, will perform at the Alameda County Fair July 10.

The group, comprising Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Wanyá Morris, formed in Philadelphia in 1985. They broke through in 1991 with the release of the singles “Motownphilly” and “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday,” which peaked at the top five of the Billboard Hot 100. They achieved further success with their record-breaking 1992 “End of the Road,” followed by 1994 singles like “I’ll Make Love to You” and “One Sweet Day” which set new records for the longest amount of time on the Billboard Hot 100. They were also the first group since the Beatles to replace themselves on the Billboard Hot 100, and they are officially Billboard’s most successful boy band from 1987 to 2012.

They will perform at 8 p.m. at the Alameda County Fair’s Big O Tires Concert Series. Early access tickets go on sale Wednesday at 9 a.m., and general public ticket sales begin Friday at 9 a.m.
