Pleasanton Milk Drive Aims To Help Premature, Medically Fragile Babies

PLEASANTON, CA — Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley and Mothers’ Milk Bank California are hosting a community milk drive Wednesday in Pleasanton.

Eligible breastfeeding mothers are asked to begin the donor screening process to donate frozen breast milk to help provide lifesaving nutrition for premature and medically fragile babies. Guests will complete a pre-screening to determine their eligibility, and learn more about the impact that the milk can have on vulnerable babies.

It is part of a series of milk drives held across California and Nevada as part of National Breastfeeding Month.

The drive will take place Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 5555 W. Las Positas Boulevard, at the breezeway in front of the hospital’s main entrance.
