Punky is a 4-1/2-year-old, 60-pound, female, Rottweiler mix.
Punky was lost. When nobody claimed her, she was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society through Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS).
At the other shelter, Punky was adopted then returned because the family’s Chihuahua kept going after her.

She LOVES her toys and food. Punky could live with kids 8 and older. She likes other dogs and she would be fine living in an apartment.
The $145 adoption fee for Punky includes spay, vaccinations, registered microchip, and a one-year license if her new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society.

Special note.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Pets left behind are likely to become the new victims. Rather than make their pets the targets, human victims stay. The Animal Safehouse Program at Rancho Coastal Humane Society is the safety net for the animal victims of Domestic Violence.
ASP works with police, social services, friends, and families. Once victims know that their pets are safe, they can escape.
Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women 15 to 44.
Three to four million women in America are beaten in their homes each year.
One fourth of the women in America will experience domestic violence.
Battering occurs in all races, ages, socio-economic classes, religions, occupations, and education levels. Once someone batters, they're going to do it again.
