Grocery Outlet Sets Grand Opening Date For Ramona Store

RAMONA, CA — A new Grocery Outlet Bargain Market will open in Ramona on July 30 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration.

The independently owned store at 1855 Main St., Suite 1120, will celebrate its opening with a noon ribbon-cutting ceremony. The market will be operated by Jordan Kelley.

As part of the celebration, the store will donate $1,000 to the Kiwanis Club of Ramona.

Beginning at 7 a.m., the first 100 customers will receive a mystery-value Bliss Buck gift card, with one worth as much as $500. Shoppers will also receive a free reusable bag with a purchase during opening week, while supplies last.

Customers can also enter a drawing for $1,000 in free groceries through Aug. 28.

The Ramona store is among several California locations Grocery Outlet plans to open this summer as the Emeryville-based discount grocery chain resumes expansion after closing 36 underperforming stores earlier this year, including nine in California. Other stores are slated to open this summerin Ontario Ranch, San Francisco, Clovis and Petaluma, KTLA reported.

The company said it plans to open at least 30 new stores in 2026.
