The Redondo Beach Fire Department teaches the FEMA CERT Program The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates people about disaster preparedness and trains in basic disaster response skills. The class includes lifesaving first aide skills and CPR/AED certified training.When disaster hits there is no time to waste to go into action to protect yourself and your family.In a major disaster help may not come right away, be prepared to respond to disaster when it strikes.Classes are on Thursday nights, 5:30pm to 8:00pm, for 8 weeks. At the end of the class, there will be a graduation day that has additional training and a disaster simulation drill to try out your skills and learn from the experience.
