Delays For BART Riders Expected In SMC And SFO Due To Construction
The cause of these delays is ongoing train control modernization work, officials said.
SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA â BART riders traveling between San Mateo County and the San Francisco International Airport should plan for potential delays late at night next week due to scheduled construction, BART officials said.
Beginning at 9 p.m. nightly from Sunday through January 29, the delays are expected to be about 30 minutes for riders traveling between the Millbrae, SFO, and San Bruno stations, BART officials said.
Ongoing train control modernization work, originally announced in January 2025, is the cause of these delays, BART officials said. This project is currently scheduled to continue throughout the summer.
