Man Arrested For Stabbing, Carjacking In SMC: Police
A 24-year-old man is facing homicide charges after several carjackings, police said.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — A Redwood City man is in custody facing attempted homicide and carjacking charges following a chaotic Saturday morning in Pescadero, police said.
The incident began around 1 a.m. Saturday when San Mateo County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the area of Bean Hollow Road and Pescadero Creek Road for a stabbing, police reported.
Deputies said they learned that an adult man had been stabbed during a disturbance that took place inside a car occupied by people who knew each other, police said. A witness told officers that the suspect stabbed the victim before running away from the scene on foot.

The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital where he is currently stable, police said.
Deputies said they set up a perimeter and searched the area using helicopters, drones, and K-9 units, but the suspect was not found initially.

Police said they identified the suspect as 24-year-old Arsenio GonzalezSian of Redwood City and got an arrest warrant.
As deputies were looking for GonzalezSian, they were alerted to a carjacking that had occurred nearby, police said.
No weapons were used in the carjacking, and no one was hurt, police said.
Deputies said they quickly found the stolen vehicle, but the suspect fled on foot again, disappearing into a heavily wooded area. Police issued a shelter-in-place order for the immediate area while deputies searched for the suspect.
Around 10:15 a.m., police said they found GonzalezSian and took him into custody without.
GonzalezSian was then booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on charges including attempted homicide, carjacking, resisting arrest, and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
