Police Search For Driver Who Struck, Killed Redwood City Pedestrian Before Fleeing: Police
The 72-year-old woman later died at a local hospital, officials said.
REDWOOD CITY, CA — A 72-year-old woman is died after a hit-and-run collision in Redwood City late Saturday night, and the driver who struck her has not been found, police said.
Officers responded around 9:45 p.m. Saturday to the intersection of Middlefield Road and Beech Street, where they found the woman near the roadway. She was transported by ambulance to a local hospital emergency room, where she was pronounced dead.
Police said the driver fled the scene. The vehicle was described as a white truck.
