Restaurant Stabbing Injures 5; Trio Arrested In San Mateo County: Police

The trio attacked the victims with glass shards and other objects, police said.

SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A fight at a restaurant in San Mateo County over the weekend led to a stabbing in which five people were injured and three were arrested, according to police.

Claudio Fajardo Gomez, 37; Kevin Lopez Lima, 29; and Nixon Perez Morales, 30, were arrested Sunday and booked into jail on suspicion of assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury, police said.

“The incident appears to be isolated and no suspects are believed to be outstanding,” according to a news release from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies responded shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday to Mariscos El Sanignacense in the 2500 block of El Camino Real in North Fair Oaks, where they found three people suffering from lacerations and puncture wounds, police said, adding two more victims were located at area hospitals.

All five were in stable condition, according to police, who said a fight broke out and the trio attacked the victims with glass shards and other objects. The assailants were identified through video and witness descriptions, police said, and were found a few blocks from the scene shortly after the fight.
