Accused Child Predator Arrested In Rohnert Park Sting: Police
Investigators said the suspect was accused of seeking to exploit a minor for commercial sexual activity and other criminal conduct.
ROHNERT PARK, CA — A man was arrested on suspicion of multiple felonies involving the exploitation of a minor during a human trafficking operation in Rohnert Park on Thursday, authorities said.
The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety conducted the operation Thursday to identify people seeking to exploit minors for commercial sexual activity and other crimes.
Investigators identified Franklin James Rockwell as a suspect and arrested him based on evidence developed during the operation, according to the department.

Rockwell was arrested on suspicion of human trafficking of a minor, arranging a meeting with a minor for lewd purposes and a controlled substance offense involving a minor.
Authorities did not release additional details about the circumstances of the operation or the evidence that led to Rockwell's arrest.

The department said such investigations often involved undercover operations, digital evidence and coordination among specialized investigators and other law enforcement agencies.
