Planned Parenthood Of Pacific Southwest Expands Ultrasound Dating Services

SAN DIEGO, CA —Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest Thursday announced it has expanded its ultrasound dating services to all 18 of its health centers throughout San Diego, Riverside and Imperial counties.

Early ultrasound dating is the most accurate method for establishing gestational age. For Planned Parenthood patients, many of whom rely on the organization as their primary source of reproductive health care, "access to accurate gestational dating strengthens the entire continuum of services," a statement from the organization read.

"Every person deserves access to accurate information to make the best decisions for themselves and their futures," said Dr. Antoinette Marengo, chief medical and transformation officer of Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest. "By expanding ultrasound dating services across our entire affiliate, we're helping reduce barriers to care and ensuring more patients can access essential reproductive health services in their own communities."
