San Diego County Students Eligible For Wheelhouse College Scholarships
Wheelhouse Credit Union offers two programs that combined will provide $10,000 in scholarships to students in San Diego County.
SAN DIEGO, CA — Wheelhouse Credit Union is offering two programs that will award a total of $10,000 in scholarships to students in San Diego County.
The scholarship programs are open to college-bound high school seniors who live in the county:
- Wheelhouse Badge of Honor Scholarships recognize and support families of first responders who serve in the San Diego community. Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors with a parent, grandparent or legal guardian who is actively serving in law enforcement, fire protection, health care or emergency medical services within the county.
- Wheelhouse Sustainability Scholarships support college-bound students who demonstrate a commitment to environmental stewardship and community impact. Five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students who are leading or participating in eco-friendly initiatives that made a difference locally.

Students must demonstrate leadership, a commitment to public service, and a desire to make an impact on their communities for both scholarship programs, according to Wheelhouse.
Interested students can find more information and apply online at WheelhouseCU.com/scholarships. Applications will be accepted through April 30. Credit union membership is not required.
