San Ramon Art & Wind Festival: What To Know
From a helicopter landing to puppet shows to the famous kite demonstrations, here's everything to know about the festivities this weekend.

SAN RAMON, CA — The City of San Ramon will host the beloved Art & Wind Festival on Sunday, May 24 and Monday, May 25 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in San Ramon Central Park (12501 Alcosta Blvd, San Ramon CA, 94583). Come for the kites and get blown away by the art, music and food!
The San Ramon Art & Wind Festival is San Ramon’s signature event — a free outdoor celebration that’s bike-friendly, family-friendly, and pet-friendly! This year’s event features a variety of fine arts and crafts vendors, three live entertainment stages, puppet shows, professional choreographed kite-flying demonstrations, two festival food courts, family amusement zones, a helicopter landing, free kite-making workshops, the Discover San Ramon Beer Garden, and more.

This year’s featured artwork, “Art & Wind Festival 2026” by Bay Area artist Jeffrey Brewer, highlights several elements of the event, including the art, music, kites, and community.
Brewer’s artwork is also on display in the Lindsay Dirkx Brown Gallery (located inside the San Ramon Community Center). Stop by on Monday from 1–4 p.m. to meet the artist, get a Festival poster signed, and enjoy more of his artwork!

ENTERTAINMENT LINEUP
This year’s Art & Wind Festival features a fantastic line-up of entertainment on three stages, featuring dance groups, vocal performances, exciting bands and more! Performances featured on the Iron Horse Stage and Amphitheater Stage include a community drumming circle, multi-cultural dance, martial arts, dance fitness, and choral groups.
The Discover San Ramon Stage will feature a diverse lineup both days. On Sunday, performances kick off with Wadaiko, performing Japanese Taiko drumming at 11 a.m., followed by the popular Pan Extasy, playing steel drums at 12:15 p.m. Next up, Soucano will shake it up with Latin rock and soul at 1:30 p.m., followed by the Fast Times, who will wrap up the first day of the festival with your favorite ’80s dance music at 4 p.m.
Monday will begin with the booming sounds of fan-favorite Lady K & The Kings of Swing, a talented big band and oldies group, at 11 a.m. Cruise into the afternoon with Jinx Jones & The Kingtones playing upbeat retro rock at 1:30 p.m. Finally, Big Bang Beat will have you rocking out to the best party rock of the ’70s, ’80s and ’90s at 4 p.m.!
The Discover San Ramon Stage is located on the grassy field adjacent to the tennis courts, so bring lawn chairs and blankets!

PROFESSIONAL KITE-FLYING DEMONSTRATIONS
Don’t miss the awe-inspiring choreographed professional kite flying demonstrations throughout the festival between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on both Sunday and Monday—just grab a spot near Field 1 and enjoy!
PUPPET SHOWS
On Sunday and Monday, the Luce Puppet Company will present lively puppet shows perfect for young ones—and the young-at-heart. Luce Puppet Company provides an experience that’s full of interactive fun, and offers a chance for the kids to exercise their own imaginations! Puppet shows will take place in the City Hall Rotunda at 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. daily.
INTERACTIVE KIDS’ AREAS
The San Ramon Art & Wind Festival is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and lots to do, especially for children! Back this year are free kite-making workshops, face painting and free crafts, as well as family-friendly performances to entertain children and adults alike. The Art & Wind Festival also features two exciting Kids Areas, with rides and amusements. Activities for children will take place at the Alcosta Promenade and Terrace Room Patio. Rides can be found in the parking lot adjacent to Field 5.
HELICOPTER LANDING
The helicopter landing is always a hit with Art & Wind Festival attendees!
This year, a Coast Guard helicopter will land on at approximately 1:30 p.m. Sunday on Field 5, adjacent to the Iron Horse Middle School track (see map).
VISUAL AND HANDCRAFTED ART
Enjoy browsing the many fine arts and crafts vendors at the San Ramon Art & Wind Festival. This event highlights more than 150 talented artists from California and beyond, exhibiting and selling their work. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of hand-crafted items including paintings, photographs, jewelry, clothing, pottery, toys, kites and more.
Each year, the San Ramon Art and Wind Festival commissions an artist to create the festival artwork. The 2026 design is by Jeffrey Brewer, whose artwork is also on display in the Lindsay Dirkx Brown Gallery (located inside the San Ramon Community Center). Stop by on Monday from 1–4 p.m. to meet the artist, get a Festival poster signed, and enjoy more of Jeffrey’s artwork!
MEMORIAL DAY PROGRAM
Monday, May 25 at 9 a.m.
Memorial Park (5001 Bollinger Canyon Rd)
The 2026 Memorial Day Program will be held at Memorial Park on Monday, May 25 at 9 a.m. Join the City of San Ramon as we honor our fallen service members with patriotic music, remarks from city officials and veterans’ groups, and a commemorative Field of Flags. There are three main parking lots that provide easy access to the festival; parking at each of these lots is $10 per day (cash only):

FREE BIKE VALET SERVICE
The City of San Ramon will provide FREE valet bike parking for the San Ramon Art & Wind Festival. The bike valet will be located on the Iron Horse Trail near Bollinger Canyon Road.
The public is encouraged to ride their bikes to the festival and take advantage of this free service. This allows residents to enjoy the event without worrying about the safety of their bikes. Biking helps reduce carbon footprints, saves money on gas and is a great way to stay active. The valet bike parking will be available both days of the festival.
