Pickup Truck Driver Arrested After Bicyclist Killed In Crash
The bicyclist suffered major injuries and was taken to a local hospital where he died of his injuries, according to the CHP.

SANTA CRUZ, CA — A 41-year-old pickup truck driver was arrested after a fatal collision with a bicyclist near Soquel High School, the California Highway Patrol said Saturday.
The crash occurred about 3:46 p.m. Friday on Soquel Drive east of Porter Street.
A Santa Cruz man driving a white 2017 Chevrolet Silverado was southbound on Soquel Drive as the male bicyclist rode south of the truck, the CHP said.

The bicyclist suffered major injuries and was taken to a local hospital where he died of his injuries, the highway patrol said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation. Alcohol and/or drugs were being investigated as possible factors in the crash, according to the CHP.
