1. Hop N’ Barley Beer Festival

When: Saturday, July 11, 2026; 11:30 a.m.–5 p.m.

Where: Skypark | 361 Kings Village Rd, Scotts Valley

The family-friendly, pet-friendly Hop N’ Barley Beer Festival brings over 50 breweries and cideries to Santa Cruz County. In addition to delightful brews, guests can also enjoy live bands, play games or grab a bite from on-site food trucks.

2. Watsonville Strawberry Festival

When: Saturday, August 1, 2026, 11 a.m.–8 p.m. and Sunday, August 2, 2026, 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

Where: Historic Downtown Watsonville | Main St and E Beach St, Watsonville

The Watsonville Strawberry Festival is a free event filled with family-friendly activities, local vendors and plenty of berry-infused foods to try. Event highlights include the Pie-Eating Contest and the Berry Best Dressed Contest.

3. Evenings On The Colonnade

When: Through Thursday, August 6, 2026, 8:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m.

Where: Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk | 400 Beach St, Santa Cruz

On summer nights, the boardwalk comes to life during Evenings on the Colonnade, featuring live entertainment, free movies on the beach and DJ dance parties. Performers and activities vary by evening, so be sure to check the website before you go.

4. Twilight Concerts

When: Wednesdays through August 19, 2026, 6 p.m.–8 p.m.

Where: Esplanade Bandstand | 120 Monterey Ave, Capitola

The City of Capitola’s Twilight Concert Series returns for a summer of live music, with genres ranging from classic rock to pop and R&B to Latin salsa. Guests are encouraged to bring low-backed chairs or picnic blankets for seating.

5. The Crow’s Nest Thursday Beach Barbeques

When: Thursdays through September 3, 2026, 5:30 p.m.

Where: The Crow’s Nest | 2218 E Cliff Dr, Santa Cruz

On Thursday evenings through the summer, The Crow’s Nest hosts live music and delicious food along the beach, with different performers each week. Note: Parking availability within the Santa Cruz Harbor is limited, so consider carpooling or using alternative forms of transportation for a smoother trip in.

6. Downtown Santa Cruz Farmers Market

When: Wednesdays year-round, 12:30–5 p.m.
