Beloved Temecula Hot Air Ballon Pilot Injured In Paragliding Accident
A GoFundMe campaign to help Dylan Bradley's family pay for his recovery has raised more than $13,100.
TEMECULA, CA — The family of a longtime hot air balloon pilot in Temecula is raising funds after he was seriously injured in a paragliding accident that has left him unable to work and facing mounting medical bills.
The GoFundMe campaign was launched by Leah Bradley to support Dylan Bradley, a father of three and a commercial balloon pilot with more than two decades of experience. As of Thursday morning, $13,104 has been raised of a $22,000 goal.
According to Leah Bradley, he was airlifted by helicopter to a trauma center following the accident. He has since undergone multiple surgeries for injuries to his neck, back and ankle, according to the campaign description.

Because of the extent of his injuries, he will be unable to fly balloons or return to work for an extended period, making it difficult for him to support his family while also managing significant hospital expenses.
“Dylan has always been the first to help others, offering a hand to anyone in need,” according the GoFundMe. “Now he and his family are facing a challenging road to recovery, both physically and financially.”

Bradley has been flying hot air balloons for more than 20 years and has logged over 3,200 hours in the air. His love of ballooning began at a young age, inspired by his father, David, who passed down both the technical skills and passion for flight.
From early mornings on the launch field to becoming a seasoned commercial pilot, Bradley turned his lifelong dream into a career. Known for his calm demeanor and deep expertise, he is described by colleagues and passengers as someone who brings a sense of wonder and joy to every flight.
Bradley flies with Galena On The Fly, where he is known for creating memorable experiences for guests across the Temecula Valley.
All funds raised through the GoFundMe campaign will go directly toward Bradley’s medical bills, with the goal of easing the financial burden on his family and allowing him to focus on healing.
“Your kindness will make a real difference for Dylan and his family as they navigate this tough journey,” the campaign states.
