Golf Tournament Supporting Families Facing Cancer To Be Held In Temecula June 22

The event will honor 16-year-old Sebastian Glenn who died from leukemia last year.

TEMECULA, CA — A golf tournament supporting families facing cancer and serious illnesses is coming to Temecula June 22.

The Fairway of Hope Golf Tournament will be held at Temecula Creek Golf Club to honor Sebastian Glenn who died from leukemia last year.

Sebastian was a passionate golfer who continued playing the sport while he was receiving treatments, and also won a tournament before he passed away, said Haley Londen, a spokeswoman for the Mitchell Thorp Foundation.

The Mitchell Thorp Foundation helped support the Glenn family with medical and home assistance during Sebastian's treatment.

The tournament will be held on what would have been Sebastian's 18th birthday.

The event, which is being presented by the Mitchell Thorp Foundation and Glenn family, will raise funds to support families facing cancer, rare diseases and other critical medical conditions.

"This special day is more than a tournament. It is a tribute to resilience, a celebration of community, and a way to give other families facing pediatric cancer and critical medical conditions, the same support the Glenn family received," Londen said in a news release.
