Hot Air Balloon Makes Emergency Landing In Temecula Backyard

A couple's leisurely weekend morning at home was interrupted by 13 surprise visitors in a hot air balloon, according to reports.

TEMECULA, CA — A hot air balloon made an emergency landing Saturday in a Temecula couple’s backyard, according to reports.

Hunter and Jenna Perrin were enjoying a leisurely weekend morning at home when they received a camera notification about movement in their yard around 8:30 a.m. as well as a knock on the door, NBC Los Angeles reported.

"I opened the door, and he goes, 'They just landed in your backyard.' And I was like, 'What do you mean?' And he goes, 'The balloon,'" Hunter Perrin told the outlet.

The pilot was forced to make an emergency landing at the home off Temecula Parkway after the wind died and fuel ran low, according to NBC Los Angeles.

None of the 13 people the balloon was carrying were injured and there was no property damage, reported KABC, which published video of the incident from multiple angles.

It took about two hours to get the balloon situated on a transport truck, NBC Los Angeles reported.
