All funds raised will go toward his surgery to ensure he gets the care he deserves.  10am to 1pm

Grab your family, besties and littles and join us for a special showing of Ratatouille on the big screen! All ages are welcome at this family friendly event. Join us for fun Friday movie nights all summer long. Proceeds benefit Joybound’s life-changing programs.

Joybound People &amp; Pets Campus is located at 2890 Mitchell Drive, Walnut Creek. The film will be shown on our big screen in the Pavillion. Concessions, beverages, and treats will be available for purchase onsite. Suggested registration sliding scale of $5-$10 per person to attend. Free parking is available onsite. 

Our adoption floor is open Monday-Friday from 12:00-7:00 pm and Saturday-Sunday from 11:00 am-6:00 pm so come early to check out all our adorable adoptable dogs and cats!

July 31st: Ratatouille (2007): A rat who dreams of becoming a gourmet chef, teams up with an inexperienced kitchen worker at one of Paris’ finest restaurants. 

Cast includes Patton Oswalt, Brad Garrett, Ian Holm, Lou Romano, Brian Dennehy, and more. Directed by Brad Bird.

Middle school is an exciting milestone, but it’s also one of the biggest transitions students experience. Suddenly, they’re expected to manage multiple teachers, keep track of assignments across classes, stay organized, plan ahead, and take on more independence.
The challenge is that many students don’t realize they’re missing these skills until they’re already feeling overwhelmed. At SOS4Students, we’ve worked with countless middle school students who came to us after struggling with these new expectations. We saw the same patterns again and again, which is why we created Mastering Middle School.
This summer workshop helps rising middle schoolers build the executive functioning skills they’ll need before the school year begins. During the intensive session on August 1–2 at Orinda Academy, students will learn practical strategies for:
• Organization and managing materials • Time management and task management • Homework routines and study strategies • Effective note-taking • Self-advocacy and communicating with teachers • Navigating the increased independence of middle school
Students will also have the opportunity to return for a follow-up session on September 12 to reinforce skills and prepare for a successful transition into the school year.
Give your student the tools to start middle school feeling prepared, confident, and ready to succeed.
