Several Watsonville residents have been receiving automated voicemails claiming they have past due balances and that their power/utilities will be shut off unless a payment is made immediately.

These fraudulent calls appear to be coming from the City of Watsonville.

Please note that the City of Watsonville and PG&E will never request a payment or ask for your financial information over the phone.

Do not fall for this scam. Hang up and disregard the message!
