Teen Killed, 5 Injured In Shooting At Mansion Party In Woodland Hills: Reports

There were 200 to 300 people at the mansion party when the shooting happened; a 16-year-old died, the reports said.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA — A teenager was killed and five other people were injured in a shooting at a party in Woodland Hills early Sunday, according to reports.

The teen, a 16-year-old boy, died at the scene after being hit by gunfire, KTLA reported. The teen was not identified.

NBC4 Los Angeles said the shooting was reported about 1:30 a.m. at a home on the 5900 block of Winnetka Avenue. That report said the shooting followed arguments that had broken out at the party.

The five others who were injured were men ages 19 to 34, some of whom had critical injuries, CBS News reported. All five were expected to survive.

There were 200 to 300 people at the mansion party at the time of the shooting, the reports said. CBS News said the house, which sits on a hilltop, was being used for an event advertised on social media and is rented often.

The shooter fired into the air several times before firing on the crowd, NBC4 reported.
