Our PROF will be:
DAIKO ABE, Senior Fire and Life Safety Educator, CSFD
Daiko Abe directs comprehensive, data‑driven programming designed to reduce community risk and positively change behavior through education and intervention. His team integrates fire safety, injury prevention, systems engineering, fire code application, emergency preparedness, fire operations pre‑planning, access to community resources, and individualized training.
Daiko brings extensive real‑world experience in disaster and crisis operations. He has supported multi‑jurisdictional response and recovery for major flooding, hurricanes, and tornadoes, as well as COVID‑19 response efforts. His technical portfolio includes community preparedness studies; risk and vulnerability assessments; hazard mitigation planning; and development of wildfire mitigation strategies, wildfire risk assessments, and Community Wildfire Protection Plans.
