Famous Singer Issues Apology To Connecticut

This is the second time the well-known singer has apologized to residents.

Popular singer Noah Kahan, who performed at Fenway Park Wednesday night, is now saying he is sorry to Connecticut.

During his performance, Kahan, who is from Vermont, said in a video shared to Instagram, “I am everything I am because of Boston, New Hampshire, Vermont. We’re going to play some songs about Boston, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont though. Sorry, Connecticut."

On Thursday, Kahan posted an apology on the social media platform X to his 383,000 followers.

When someone responded to his apology post with "If Connecticut is included, then NJ is too," Kahan replied, "Don’t push it."

Local radio personality Adam Rivers, of KC 101 and Kiss 95.7, wrote to Kahan on Instagram, "what is your deal with Connecticut????? Why are you tossing strays at us all the time for no reason? You can call into my show anytime to explain yourself."

Several Connecticut residents responded on social media that they accepted his apology.

"as a connecticutan ( not a word ) i’m not offended," one person wrote.

WTNH News 8 noted that Kahan had previously taken a swipe at Connecticut back in 2024, saying to late-night TV host Seth Meyers that the state "doesn't count," in New England. He issued an apology before playing Connecticut later in 2024.

One person on Instagram referenced the 2024 comment, saying, "What’s crazy is that he apologized when he played Soundside in 2024 and even wore a Whalers jersey. I still love @noahkahanmusic tho"

Kahan is in the midst of his tour for his new album, 'The Great Divide,' and is performing four sold out shows at Fenway Park before playing in New York at Citi Field, according to CBS.
