Major Weather Changes, Plenty Of Rain Forecast For CT

Milder temperatures are on the horizon for Connecticut, along with several chances for rain, according to meteorologists.

After today’s high temperatures in the 40s, the National Weather Service is predicting daytime highs on Friday through Sunday in the 50s, with the warmest weather expected this weekend.

The National Weather Service in New York City predicts the next chance for rain is late Friday and Friday night, though it anticipates less than a half inch of precipitation.

According to WFSB, Friday, the first day of spring, will feature temperatures between 50 and 55 degrees.

“A cold front gets pushed through Connecticut Friday evening with rain showers expected,” WFSB reports. “The timing has been trending earlier... that means some wet roads will be possible for the evening commute. Keep the umbrella handy for any Friday evening plans!”

WFSB is predicting dry and mild weather for the weekend, with some possible isolated showers early Saturday.

High temperatures on Saturday will be between 50 and 55, followed by an even warmer day on Sunday, when temperatures could peak at 60 degrees, according to WFSB.

WFSB predicts another chance for showers after sunset on Sunday.
