Man Found Dead Beneath Overturned Lawn Mower In New Hartford: State Police

NEW HARTFORD, CT — A man was found dead beneath an overturned lawn mower Tuesday evening in New Hartford, according to Connecticut State Police.

Emergency personnel responded to a Honey Hill Road address around 5:23 p.m. on Oct. 20, after state police were requested to assist with a medical call.

Responders found an unresponsive adult man outdoors beneath an overturned lawn mower. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police.

State police opened an untimely death investigation and said preliminary findings do not indicate a criminal aspect to the incident.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner took custody of the man's body and will investigate the cause and manner of death.

The man's identity has not been released, although state police said his next of kin have been notified.

The investigation remains ongoing. State police did not release additional details Wednesday.
