Map Shows How Much Homes Are Worth In Your Connecticut Town

Home values across Connecticut continue to show major gaps between communities, with several Fairfield County towns now averaging well above $1 million, according to new Zillow data.

But where does your town stand?

The interactive map compares average home values across Connecticut municipalities using Zillow Home Value Index data.

Darien took the top spot statewide, with an average home value of about $2.36 million, followed closely by Greenwich at $2.3 million and New Canaan at $2.14 million.

Westport ($2.03 million), Weston ($1.37 million), Wilton ($1.25 million), Washington ($1.01 million), Ridgefield ($994,761) and Easton ($966,836) also ranked among the state's most expensive communities.

Hartford had the state's lowest average home value at about $199,359 followed by Willimantic ($272,819), Winsted ($276,900), Waterbury ($280,921) and South Windham ($290,604).

The data comes as Connecticut's housing market continues to face rising prices and limited inventory.

Connecticut has one of the tightest housing markets in the country, with low inventory driving prices higher across much of the state.

According to Redfin, 8,307 homes were listed for sale statewide in March, down 10.2% year-over-year.

The average home value in the state is $441,466, a 4.8 percent increase over the past year, according to Zillow.
