The company said the recall was initiated after a supplier notified SKS Copack about a voluntary recall involving nonfat dry milk powder that tested positive for salmonella during routine testing.
Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, older adults and people with weakened immune systems, according to the FDA. Symptoms can include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
Consumers who purchased the affected products are being urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
The full recall list and affected lot numbers are available through the FDA recall notice.
