Snow, Sleet And Rain Returns To CT's Weather Forecast: Here's When, What To Know

While the daffodils and tulips are sprouting, northern areas of Connecticut could see some wintry precipitation tonight and into early Tuesday, according to meteorologists.
The National Weather Service in New York City predicts today will be mostly sunny with highs in the 50s, then it will become cloudy tonight.
“A few light rain, snow, and sleet showers are possible overnight into a part of tomorrow,” the National Weather Service reports.

It predicts a slight chance of rain between midnight and 2 a.m., followed by a chance of snow showers for northern Connecticut. For Tuesday, it anticipates a chance of snow showers in the morning, followed by a chance of rain before it clears and warms up. For southern Connecticut, any precipitation tonight is expected to be rain.
The chance of precipitation is around 30 percent, according to the National Weather Service, and “little or no snow accumulation” is expected.

WFSB reports Tuesday will begin with some “rain and/or snow showers in the morning,” followed by gradual clearing and a chance for an isolated shower in the afternoon.
“Our Next Big Thing is a frosty start Wednesday, with low temperatures in the 20s (and feeling more like the teens in some spots). We’ll rebound nicely into the low 50s as high pressure leads to plenty of sunshine in the afternoon,” WFSB reports.
Temperatures will be much warmer later this week and into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts daytime high temperatures will be back into the 60s.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52. West wind around 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
Tonight: A slight chance of rain showers between midnight and 2 a.m., then a chance of snow showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 33. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Tuesday: A chance of snow showers before 9 a.m., then a chance of rain showers. Mostly sunny, with a high near 50. West wind 6 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 26. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
