Thunderstorms Forecast As Major Weather Changes Begin For CT

It will be a sunny and nice day today, perfect for outdoor activities, then showers and thunderstorms are possible again on Thursday and Friday, according to forecasters.
The National Weather Service says it will be a “beautiful day today, with mostly sunny skies.”
High temperatures today will be in the mid-80s inland and low-80s along the shore.

WFSB is calling today a “top 10 weather day,” as it will be bright and comfortable, with low humidity.

Hotter temperatures and the potential for stormy weather return tomorrow.
“Shower and thunderstorm chances return late Thursday into Friday before a quieter weekend,” the National Weather Service reports.
It predicts temperatures will rise Thursday and Friday, with highs in the upper 80s.
According to WFSB, it will be cloudier and muggier starting Thursday, with an isolated afternoon shower or thunderstorm possible.
More storms possible Friday
WFSB predicts a cold front will approach on Friday, and as the front gets closer in the afternoon and evening, it could “lead to a round of storms.”
The National Weather Service also is predicting a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Friday, with the likeliest timeframe between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Weekend forecast outlook
The weekend outlook is good, with both Saturday and Sunday currently expected to be dry and sunny, with highs in the mid-80s, according to the National Weather Service.
“Temperatures will be seasonable both Saturday and Sunday,” WFSB reports. “And, by July-standards, it will be pleasant... mugginess will not be much of a factor at all!”
