The Avon Falcons Athletic Hall of Fame Announces Its 2026 Class of Inductees
Six athletes, two coaches, and one team representing 50+ years of Avon's best, will be inducted into the Falcons Athletic Hall of Fame
The Avon Falcons Athletic Hall of Fame committee is delighted to announce its 2026 honorees, which include six former Avon High School athletes, two coaches, and one team.
This year’s inductees were selected from among a highly competitive pool of exceptional athletic talent spanning 55 years. They will be inducted at a recognition dinner on Friday, May 1st, at the Golf Club of Avon.

Adam Blankenbicker, 2000 – Soccer and Track & Field
Kyle Bourque, 1998 – Soccer and Track & Field
Buddy Harris, 1972 – Cross-Country, Indoor Track, Track & Field
JD Kosakowski, 1988 – Soccer and Tennis
Ed Roy, 1971 – Football and Track & Field
Caroline Schaeffer, 2014 – Field Hockey, Basketball, Lacrosse
Jack Trumbull – Multi-sport Coach
Frank Waters – Girls Basketball Coach
Girls 1984 Cross-Country Team
Over 70 nominations of distinguished nominees were carefully reviewed by the selection committee, and evaluated for athletic excellence, accomplishments in high school and beyond, and overall impact on Avon athletics. Members of the committee are former AHS athletes, coaches, and community leaders, and include: Lisa Abate, Al Dadario, Susan Rietano Davey (chairperson), Suzanne Lancaster, John McLaughlin, Jim Murray, Don Papio, Jon Yolles, and Dave Zlatin.
