Avon And Farmington Teaming Up To Host Huge America 250 Celebration
Avon and Farmington will celebrate America's 250th birthday this week with live music, food trucks, a car show and fireworks.

AVON/FARMINGTON, CT — Residents of Avon and Farmington are invited to a community-wide celebration marking America’s 250th birthday with an evening of entertainment, food and fireworks on Friday, June 26.
The event, billed as “Past. Present. Party!,” will take place from 4 to 9:30 p.m. at 99 Thompson Road in Avon. A rain date has been scheduled for Saturday, June 27.
Organizers said the celebration will feature live music, food trucks, vendors, a kids zone and a decade-themed car show.

The evening will conclude with a fireworks display beginning at 9 p.m.
The event is part of the Avon and Farmington CT250 initiative, which commemorates the nation’s semiquincentennial while highlighting the shared history of the neighboring communities.
