Avon Offers Free Brush Disposal On Select Saturdays This Spring
Avon's transfer station is open for free brush drop-off from April to May; proof of residency is required.

AVON, CT — Avon residents have the opportunity this spring to dispose of brush at no cost at the town’s transfer station, officials announced.
The free service, which started April 18, will also be available Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to noon on April 25, May 2, and May 9.
The program is open to both permit-holders and non-permit-holders, provided they show proof of Avon residency.

Town officials said the disposal window ends one hour before the facility’s regular closing time.
Commercial landscaping firms may participate only if they are assisting a resident and are accompanied by the hiring resident at the time of drop-off.

Stumps will not be accepted.
