Avon PD To Host Drug Take-Back Event This Weekend

The event is part of National Drug Take-Back Day, a nationwide initiative to safely dispose of unused and unwanted medication.

AVON, CT — The Avon Police Department will host a medication take-back event on Saturday, April 25, offering residents a safe way to dispose of unused, expired, or unwanted prescription drugs.

The collection will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Avon Senior Center, 635 West Avon Road.

Officials said the event is intended to help prevent misuse of medications and ensure proper disposal, reducing potential harm to public health and the environment.
