Avon School To Perform Disney's ‘Descendants’ Musical This Weekend

AVON, CT — The Thompson Brook School Parent-Teacher Organization will stage a student production of "Disney’s The Descendants: The Musical" over three performances this week.

Shows are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, March 27, and Saturday, March 28, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, March 29, at the school, located at 150 Thompson Road, Avon.

Organizers said all tickets must be purchased in advance through an online link.

The musical is based on the Disney Channel film series and follows the children of well-known Disney villains as they navigate life in a new environment.

Set in the kingdom of Auradon, the story centers on Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos—descendants of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Cruella De Vil, and Jafar—who are given a chance to attend school alongside the children of Disney heroes.

The production explores whether the characters will follow in their parents’ footsteps or choose a different path.
