Major Paving Project To Begin Next Week In Avon

AVON, CT — Motorists should prepare for traffic delays on Arch Road as Avon enters the final phase of an improvement project, town officials announced.

Paving operations are scheduled to begin the week of Monday, Oct. 12, and continue through Oct. 23.

Arch Road will remain open throughout the work, but officials said motorists should expect traffic impacts.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes and avoid the area during paving whenever possible.

The final phase of the project will include paving Arch Road, installing new curbing, and completing backfilling and restoration work along the new curbing.
